Property information
Wern-y-glais cottage is a cosy hidden away gem. Situated in Glais, Swansea, this property has peace and tranquillity at it’s heart. The beautiful gardens and local area are perfect for walking the dogs or going for a nice relaxing stroll. Close enough to Swansea to have everything you need close by, but in a secluded enough area to enjoy peace, quiet and bird song.
The living room has a large feature window allowing a huge amount of natural light into it, with a stunning view of the well kept garden, river and trees beyond. The garden gets a huge amount of evening sun and if sitting outside and soaking up the rays with a bottle of wine is your idea of fun, then look no further.
There is plenty of greenery and local birds to set off your holiday mode to relaxation as soon as you sit down outside. So make sure you bring your hats, glasses and sun screen to make the most of Wern-Y-Glais  beautiful location.
The property consists of 2 double bedrooms, both with double beds and a nice view of both the garden and the front of the property. Each room contains storage space and bedside lamps for your convenience.
Neighbourhood information 
The word 'Glais' is one of the Welsh words for stream and is a common element in Welsh place-names.
The local and surrounding area around the property has a beautiful scenic walk known as the Garth, where you can cycle or walk all the way to Swansea or Brecon. There is also a canal, with wooden carvings to be seen where you can hire canoes to go exploring. Additionally you may want to visit Glais Mountain which  is one of the best examples of a Terminal Moraine more commonly known as an end of Glacia. Locally there are 2 pubs, 1 which serves real ale. There is also a Rugby club and a new local shop for your convenience! Coed Gwilym park is in walking distance and has bowls green, tennis courts and a good-sized children’s play area.
Swansea has a busy town centre with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for you to explore or if you would prefer something a bit more quiet and scenic you can visit the mumbles. From the town centre runs a promenade which is ideal for walking or taking your bikes. It runs along Swansea bay all the way down to the end of the mumbles pier, along the way you can visit Verdi’s ice cream parlour and the famous mumbles pier arcade.
