For the more adventurous of you Penhill resides near the popular town of Leyburn and is a great walk for all abilities. Leyburn is known for being the gateway to the dales, full of history, the town is has several restaurants, cafes and pubs including The Sandpiper Inn, where you can indulge in some exquisite cuisine. The Countryman's Inn is your "local" in the village of Hunton and serves traditional food and is just a 35 minute walk from the property, perfect for an evening stroll. Further a field, 17 miles away, Northallerton boasts plentiful shops and of course the famous Betty's Tearoom, known for the 'Fat Rascal'.
