Lake District Retreats offers this fabulous property situated on a quiet street just 2 minutes walk from the town centre you will find the tranquility of The Lake District with the convenience of the town centre. Newly refurbished, the traditional Woodland Cottage offers modern comforts with a cosy feel. Woodland Cottage with has a fully enclosed, dog friendly, outdoor garden with high walls surrounding all perimeters. It gets the sun throughout most of the day and nicely sheltered from a breeze. With a lockable six foot gate to the front of the property, access is easy when returning from your adventures in The Lake District. This area really is great for sitting out on sunny days, offering a lovely, peaceful space to relax and BBQ! This space leads off the kitchen/ diner with stable door, so you can send the kids and/ or dogs out to play and still keep an eye on them. The dining space boasts a custom built booth offering plenty room to sit and eat or play board games. The comfortable lounge offers a cosy burner perfect for the cooler evenings as well as a games cupboard, Nintendo Wii, DVD player and TV offering Netflix and Amazon Prime access. Upstairs leads to a comfortable master bedroom with built in wardrobe and kingsize bed. Overlooking the garden is the twin bedroom which can be made up as a king size if preferred and the modern bathroom offering monsoon shower.

Just a short stroll from the centre of Windermere village centre, you’ll find charming cafes, local shops, traditional pubs, and convenient transport links—all while enjoying a quiet, leafy setting. Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake itself are within easy reach, offering scenic walks, boat trips, and breathtaking views. Whether you’re after outdoor adventures or simply relaxing in nature, our neighbourhood combines the best of both worlds: serene surroundings and easy access to all Windermere has to offer. We’re just a 10-minute walk from Windermere train station, making arrivals and departures a breeze—perfect for those travelling without a car. From here, local buses and sightseeing routes connect you to the wider Lake District, including Ambleside, Grassmere, and Keswick. The area is also very dog-friendly, with plenty of welcoming pubs, cafes, and restaurants where your four-legged friend can join you after a day of exploring the fells or lakeside trails.
