Imagine country walks with the dogs, peaceful surroundings and scenery plucked from a painting, at Wyck Cottage this is your everyday. Its undisturbed setting of Wyck Rissington is the epitome of rural countryside with a handful of picturesque golden stone cottages scattered along its route. From your doorstep you can follow the Oxfordshire Way walking trail and explore popular Bourton-on-the Water. Returning to Wyck Cottage rest alongside the crackling open fire beneath wooden beams in this historic hideaway. 2 well-behaved dogs are permitted at the cottage for an additional fee. Wyck Cottage has a number of low beams and steep, narrow stairs, in particular up to the second floor en-suite, please mind your heads and be aware that this cottage may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Please be aware of the pond that is accessed through the gate at the entrance to the wild nature garden and always supervise children and pets. While WiFi is available at Wyck Cottage, please be aware that the speed is intermittent and mobile phone signal is limited.

Sitting just outside well-known Bouton-on-the-Water, this village is a quintessentially untouched part of the Cotswolds. Beautiful cottages line the street as walking trails criss-cross the area. Despite its small size there is a wealth of history here, from the old cart pool where wheels were dipped to cool them down, the Victorian drinking fountain, to St Lawrence Church, where Gustav Holst composed “In the Bleak Midwinter”. The organ that he used is still in use here! This Cotswold gem of a village is in a fantastic location for exploring the surrounding Cotswolds with Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford both just a short drive away.
