Take a walk or a bike over the famous Barmouth Bridge and explore the Mawddach Trail, a level route which follows the trackbed of the old railway line to Dolgellau. From Barmouth, you can also hop on board a train on the Cambrian Coast line between Machynlleth and Pwllheli for one of the most spectacular coastal railway journeys in the UK, or catch a ferry over the mouth of the river and take a trip on a little steam train on the Fairbourne Railway.
