What makes this place unique is its location. Sitting right on Kounopetra beach the property offers direct access to the safest beach in Kefalonia. The beach is made up of a soft, red sand that slopes very gently and the water remains shallow (knee level) for about 20m from the shore. The cape offers very calm and safe waters making it ideal for children. The surrounding area is covered by farmland. A great variety of small fish and birds pass through the area providing a very diverse environment. All the villas look to the south-east viewing the sea including the uninhabited isle of Vardiani, the island of Zante, and Mt Aenos. Moreover, there are several farms around the area where visitors can admire domestic animals like horses, sheep, and goats. There is also an aqua-park with waterslides close to the property, kids really love it. In about 5min drive, you can explore the winery of Foivos Domaine whose experimental methods and has won many international awards. Also, every August Kefalonia's largest wine festival takes place in Mantzavinata village only 5min drive from the property. There you can try local wines from almost every village of Kefalonia. Experienced foodies love this side of the island. It is its most agrarian part and locals recognize it as the place to go when it comes to dining out. A traditional tavern sits right next to the property, serving fresh fish caught in the Kefalonian sea as well as many famous local dishes. Home deliveries are offered.
