Eurof and Yianna, who live outside of Greece, restored and own the property, which is managed by AnIt’s perfectly situated for trips to lots of beautiful local beaches, some of the best on the island, for hiking along the well-marked island trails, and just 30 minutes from Andros’s capital, Chora, for a bit of island sophistication.
DO rent a car or bring your own. Strongly recommended! You’ll have your own super convenient parking above the house.tonis, based in Andros.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions/issues.My name is Antonis I am the manager of the house. I personally live permanently in Andros and am therefore easily reached by you while offering my service whenever needed. I am a friendly person and very sociable. I love people and I like to share my knowledge and my experiences with them. I will meet you at the entrance of the village Ormos Korthiou and we will go together to deliver the house.
There is also the possibility of a fishing trip in my speed boat or for swimming on a magical beach without people.
Chones is a romantic village with a beautiful Byzantine church right next to the house, on steep terraced land leading to the bay, with stairs you can walk down (and up, if you’re fit). Korthi is in the south of the island with some of the best beaches, many sheltered from the wind. Walking is possible but a car is recommended!
There’s lots of things to do! Take a 4x4 or hire a boat to go to even more beautiful deserted and secret beaches, hike to ancient monasteries, day trip to Chora with its world-famous art museum and annual exhibitions, visit the UNESCO world heritage site Syneti Gorge, walk the Dipotamata, take an adventurous drive to some of the most famous beaches in Europe, just a little further away -- you will never run out of things to do.
Then come back and relax, have a shower, take a drink on the terrace overlooking the bay, make a delicious meal with local ingredients and eat with your friends under the stars. Afterwards, listen to the sounds of nature at night and the owls hooting gently on roof the historic church next door -- think about what a good idea it was to stay here!
