In the Bay just before Kastellakia, Pisses, there are two mini markets and three tavernas. There is also organised beach. In the bay 3 km down from us, Koundouros, there are fast water sports - waterskiing and pulling behind the boat on a 'banana' as well as diving lessons. The bay just previous to that has a small courtyard for young children with swings and a climbing toy/gym. Koundouros has a high class fish taverna and also has a number of food options during the day. There is a bar at night. Throughout the island, there are numerous hiking trails leading to private beaches and one to the ancient temple. A walk through the main town also leads to the famous lion - a large sculpture carved in stone in prehistoric times. On the opposite side of the island is the yacht marina with a few art galleries. It's always fun just to walk up and down the small main road and look in on the big yachters too. Kea is blessed with a multitude of beaches so there are always beaches to explore.
