Casa Minza is designed to make your stay special. This fully air-conditioned stunning villa has been lovingly created using reclaimed materials (all sourced on the Greek mainland) which have been creatively incorporated adding a unique touch. The villa has a large open plan bright, light kitchen, dining, living area, three double bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms, and one twin room, (which shares a third bathroom with one of the double rooms), a utility room and a large basement housing a table tennis table, gym, climbing wall, smart TV and two double sofa beds. Outside there is an extensive patio with outside kitchen (gas BBQ), a large covered pergola with outdoor dining to seat 12 people comfortably, an infinity swimming pool (heated), sun loungers and outdoor shower. All the upstairs bedrooms have a balcony overlooking the sea with chairs for morning coffee. On the north side of the house is the ‘coffee bench’, the perfect place to enjoy a coffee after a morning swim at the beach or in the pool. Casa Minza is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and has excellent wifi. A handy basket of beach towels and mats are available for use too!

After dragging my family around many of the less touristy Greek islands to find the one on which to find a property to call our own, we landed in Karpathos in July 2019, one of the islands in the Dodecanese and it was love at first sight. As ever the people we met played a big part but the wild, rugged beauty of herb clad mountains and pine trees down to pebbly beaches and turquoise water just got me immediately! I wanted to buy a property but ended up buying a plot of land overlooking the sea with a path to the beach. It was perfect. I set about designing a light, bright open plan home filled with reclaimed and recycled materials from the Greek mainland and bright bold colours. Travel and adventure (and my three children and two dogs) are my passion. I embarked on a 4 year adventure and took in Greek lessons along the way. I flew every 8 weeks to the island to help with decision making with my work laptop under my arm - super lucky that my work can come with me! We, as a family, now have a cool place to lay our hat on an unspoilt Greek island with the most stunning sea view and, yes, a track down to the beach....we look forward to welcoming you.

Katodio is a small hamlet of a few houses and a church on the east side of Karpathos a 40 minute drive from the airport or a 30 minute drive from the port of Karpathos. Casa Minza is positioned with stunning sea views and a15 minute walk through the pine trees below the house brings you to a choice of two beautiful, unspoilt beaches. A short 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) takes you to Kyra Panagia, a well documented and gorgeous bay with sunbeds and tavernas and a small mini market. The main town of Pigadia is a 25 minute drive to the south which is a busy working town with all that you will need in the way of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Of the well known beaches (apart from Kyra Panagia), Achata beach is 15 minutes to the south, Apella beach is 25 minutes to the north. Olympos is 1 hour to the north. The numerous beaches dotted around the coast of Karpathos are all within easy reach.
