"Anavasis" was designed to give its guests the history of the first ascent to the top of Mount Olympus on August 2, 1913, through the prism of modern aesthetics to make it perfectly practical for your stay. It is an ideal starting point for an excursion to the mythical mountain, describing the experience of the first explorers Fred. Boissonas, D. Baud-Bovy and Christos Kakkalos.

Litochoro is a small town in Pieria. It is located in the southern part of the prefecture, at the eastern end of Mount Olympus. It is a popular destination for those who wish to start climbing Mount Olympus. To the northwest of Litochoro is the Holy Monastery of Agios Dionysios en Olympos. To the east is the Plaka area which has a variety of catering outlets and is a tourist destination. Litochoro is accessible via highway 1, there is a long-distance bus station, a railway station and a taxi stand in the square. In Litochoro there are banks, a health centre and the sports centre "Pyrros Dimas". Both in the urban and peripheral areas you will find many choices of bars, restaurants and cafes.
