Part of the Monastery was used as the setting for the final scenes of the James Bond film ‘For Your Eyes Only’. - Make sure you visit the unique historic Byzantine Church of Dormition of the Mother of God, which you can reach in no more than 5 mins on foot. The Byzantine temple of Dormition of the Mother of God is the most important monument of Kalampaka - erected between the 10th and 11th century on the ruins of an early Christian royal.
