You ll have your bike for free!Its very easy to go to the beach with bike or just walk.5 min with the bike,15 min walk. If you like to discover the city of Heraklion,you can take the bus from "Amnisos",next to the Saint Ioannis church, Its every 20 min bus for the city and the bus station is just 15 min from the house.The distance from the city is 8km. The area of Karteros House,calling "Mesa Karteros",and if you like to take a taxi from the city back to "Mesa Karteros"you ll pay about 12 euros.ask from the taxi driver to drop you in "Mesa Karteros" .Google maps :Karteros House. Around the area you ll find several beaches,super markets,and restaurants.I suggest the beach "Minoan" next to Minoan hotel.Another nice beach is "Tombrouk"the nearest beach from my studio is "Amnisos",very quite..... If you like to discover more,you can take the bus KTEL from "Amnisos" and visit the very popular paces. Mountains and sea...Quite,relax perfect for meditation and greek family hospitality.Next to the house is also the canyon Karteros with a river.If you want to be more close to the natural.....several beaches, favorite is "Amnisos",very quite,perfect for reading and meditation.
