We are George and Mariella. We have been married for many years and we have a child, Manos. We adore music, traveling, and the sea. Mariella is a professor of French at the University of Crete, a Musician, and a Singing Teacher and I am a Mechanical-Civil Engineer and a Musician too. Our suites were created with love and care in respect of the original stone building, Mariella's grandparents’ house, a building that dates back to the beginning of the last century and where she spent most of her childhood. Our property, fully renovated, environmentally friendly, and with attention to the smallest details will make you enjoy every moment of your stay! The “Le Bijou Luxury Suites”, a recently renovated establishment housing 2 luxurious suites, is situated in the heart of Rethymno's Old Town, in a quiet and beautiful alley. The “Le Bijou Luxury Ground Suite with private Pool”, entices guests with its serene charm. This exceptional luxury retreat, located on the ground floor, can accommodate up to 2 guests and stands out for its rare offering of a private small pool in a secluded internal courtyard. The “Le Bijou Luxury Upper Suite with Jacuzzi & view”, located on the 1st floor, boasts a private terrace, private Jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the majestic Fortezza Castle and can accommodate up to 4 guests. The use of the Jacuzzi is available from April 1st to October 31st. Beyond this period, it is not available. For any special requests, please contact us. Restored with utmost respect for its original structure dating back to the early 20th century, this property retains numerous original elements like stone walls and windows. It is mandatory to shower before using the pool, otherwise the quality of the water will be affected and, in that case, it will not be possible to replace it.
