Agioi Deka is a capital village which is located at the 44th kilometer of the Heraklion-Tympaki road, in the plain of Messara, and is adjacent to the first and second energy centers of the area. That is, to the ancient Gortynas and to the palace of Phaistos. In the area you can find a bank and ATM, pharmacy, cafes, taverns and mini markets. Still within 17 minutes you can go to the southern beaches such as Matala, Kalamaki, Kokkino Pyrgos and Kommo. While in about 30-50 minutes you can go to more distant but beautiful beaches such as Kali limenes, Agios Pavlos, Agia galini, Triopetra and many other beaches of southern Crete.
