Managros Rooms has two units available. A studio on the top floor with panoramic views and an upper ground 2 room unit with garden views. Studio Thea has a comfortable double bed with a ceiling fan and airconditioner. There is a kitchen area with a fridge freezer, small oven and, of course, crockery and cutlery. The bathroom has a large shower and additional storage. Thea has dual aspect terraces. To the front of the house with see views, to the side with countryside and mountain views. Apartment Elia is larger with a spacious kitchen/sitting room and separate bedroom. The kitchen is bright and well equipped with a fridge freezer and small oven. There is also a sofa. The bedroom has a double and single bed and a ceiling fan. An airconditioner is just outside the room so it covers both the bedroom and living room. Outside, there is a covered sitting area and a further table and chairs under a pergola. Thea has garden views. Please be aware there are stone steps and steep slopes which may be unsuitable for young children.

Managros Rooms is the home of Yiorgos. He has an apartment on the ground floor. However, we live in Volissos, but are at the house most days. In recent years Yiorgos has made many improvements to the house and garden so that it provides a quiet, relaxing place to stay. Guests may use a large bbq, a firepit area and a traditional wood-fired oven. Yiorgos has also created many stone seating areas around the garden. Please be aware we have a small dog and, currently, two cats - all friendly. Sometimes we also have chickens at the bottom of the garden. For this reason, we prefer guests to not bring pets.

Less than 40km from Chios town, on the northwest side of the island, Managros is a quiet rural area with only a few houses, but with a magnificent unspoilt beach. Stretching for a few kilometres the beach is never crowded, even in August. It is a mostly pebble beach, but the sea does get deep quite close to shore. Shade is provided by a few trees. At the Limnia end of the beach is a small beach bar, with umbrellas and long chairs. The beach here is sandier and more gently shelving. The beaches at Lefkathia and Limnos also have beach bars and chairs. We are 4km from Volissos village which has two mini-markets, a pharmacy, post office, doctor, ATM, and various places to eat and drink. The harbour at Limnia is a great place to relax in the evening with bars and restaurants. Public transport is infrequent and only between Volissos and Chios, so a car is recommended for getting around and touring the island. There are some lovely walks in the area for a gentle stroll or a more serious hike.
