In Anakasia, after the first turns of the road from Volos to Pelion, an old village, where the popular painter Theophilos lived for a long time, surrounded from trees and flowers, our Guest House, part of the large old mansion of 1880's, looks beyond Volos and Pagasitikos Gulf. Four generations back, the basement of the stone-built house was full of oil-filled old urns and pots, the traditional brick made oven offered daily homemade bread and food for the large family and the domestic animals in the two side sheds provided the livestock production for the needs of the family . Nowadays, that the stone buildings have been preserved and rebuilt with deep sensitivity and respect to their history and the traditional architecture of the area, the old warehouse already functions as a small and warm guest house in a verdant garden and a large paved courtyard. For those who love nature, the guest house, built of stone and wood from experienced masons of Pelion, accommodates 4 (or even 5) persons. If you really enjoy the shade of the trees and the birds' singing, do not hesitate to choose it!

Anakasia, a small village - suburb of Volos, is a beautiful settlement on the outskirts of mountain Pelion. Just 10 minutes from Volos and 10 minutes as well from the main villages of Portaria and Makrinitsa, it offers ample views to the residents and travelers, a small square for a short meal and several walking paths. In Anakasia the popular painter Theophilos lived for a long time and today the Kontou House in the village, which is a museum, is an excellent example of his painting. For those who love hiking, the Jason trail, well preserved and well-marked, leads to Portaria, Makrinitsa and Agriolefkes, just before Chania.
