In a quiet semi rural setting Villa Gecko has amazing panoramic sea and island views by day and even more spectacular sunsets. It is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, comfortably furnished, decorated to a high standard and flooded with light. Surrounded by olive groves the large private garden is bordered with Oleander and contains several mature olive trees of its own. The Gecko is an ideal holiday villa for anyone looking for peace and quiet with an easy way of life. In the words of one of our recent guests "a beautifully maintained villa in an idyllic location". While a hire car is advised this is by no means essential, particularly if you are a keen walker.

The property is managed by Ian and Joy, an English couple who live locally.

The Villa is located only 2km from the wonderful blue flag beach of Arillas along with the resort's restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also within a short drive of the wide golden sandy beaches of St George in one direction and San Stefanos in the other, each with their own individual character. There is a supermarket, a café and a fruit and veg shop a 2 minute drive (10 minute walk) away and a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance for an evening meal. The area provides fantastic scenery around almost every corner and is ideal with those for walking in mind with quiet roads and little used tracks to explore. By car, there are many interesting places to visit, including traditional villages, largely untouched by tourism, or just explore the hills and valleys of this fantastic countryside. The rugged coast of this area offers a surprising variety of small beaches a well as the spectacular beauty of Paleokastritsa and the simple beauty of nearby Afionas (considered one the most beautiful villages on Corfu).
