Welcome to Yliessa, our little paradise at the foot of the Zakynthos mountains, surrounded by nature and ancient olive trees, about 5 minutes away from the closest beach. The villa easily sleeps 6 and offers 3 beautifully designed bedrooms with en-suite bathroom. The large designer pool has a jacuzzi function and is easily accessible. The outdoor fireplace is great for long nights under the stars. Yliessa's central yet tranquil location makes it a great option to enjoy the island.

Yliessa is located on the border of Pigadakia and Kalithea, two small and traditional mountainside Zakynthian villages. The property is surrounded by olive trees, some of them hundreds of years old. There’s a few beautiful hiking trails very closeby, our favorite is a hike to the Black Cave which offers amazing views over the island. A moderate level walk uphill of about 1.5 hours until you reach the cave, but can easily be extended by following the various mountain paths. Make sure you take enough water as it gets hot in summer. The closest beach is about a 5 minute drive away, and is called Alykes Beach. It’s a long strip of white sand with crystal clear water. Alykes is a small touristic beach town with plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as organized beach clubs with sunbeds.The most famous attraction of the island is of course Navagio Beach, the Shipwreck beach. This stretch of white sand and blue water is protected by a natural harbor with tall 200-meter-high cliffs on 3 sides. About a 30min drive from Yliessa. Other must see beaches: - Xigia (20mins) - Porto Limionas (40min) - Dafni (35min) - Marathonisi turtle island (by boat) Happy to recommend other hidden gems!
