Me, Kristijan and my wife Danijela are a middle aged couple (47 & 42) years old with 2 children Mauro & Mario and a dog pet Arči. We both like meating people, languages, traveling and family style life. My wife likes walking by the sea, swimming and cooking also, while my hobbies are diving, fishing, mountain walking and skiing.

We have quite a large property, near the see which consist of 3 separate house, each standing alone, and each with lot of terrace in front and around, many green trees and flowers, with a beautiful view on the whole Kvarner bay, islands Krk & Cres and suroundings.... Our family has a long history of private accomodation back in 1951. It was my grandmother Emilia Komel who started the tradition, at first with one double room. My mother Ines Komel continued and I Kristijan Komel have joined since I was a boy. Now it is like before a family business that my wife Danijela and me are running together with my parents. We offer spacious apartments for a good price, near the sea. Each bedroom has it own bathroom, sat tv & air condition, wifi internet. Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. Our private parking is the largest in Opatija. The view from our house and large terraces is really nice and the green from spring to autumn makes the feeling even better. In the winter period we are open, since we have an excellent central heating system that combines solar, wood, and wooden pelets possibilities, all ecological types... Our apartments offer a lot for a very good price.

We are located in a very interesting position since, we are a place at the sea but only a few kilometres distant up the hill, the forest starts and with the car in about 30 minutes you can arrive through our nature park Učka even to the very top peaks of mountain Učka, like Vojak 1401m, Veli Planik 1272m or in Lisina Park forest to the peak of Lisina mountain 1185m. So lot of mountain walking, green forest enviroment and sightseeng excursions are possible in the same day together with swimming or walking by the sea.... Our place is well known for surfers from neighbouring countries that come early in the morning for surfing on our Tramontana wind as well as for many divers who take courses or join the groups in nearby diving clubs "Marco Polo" Kantrida or "Marine sport "Mošćenička draga". From our house in 3 minutes you can come to the beach, fishing place, snorkeling and diving area, to the many restaurants & cafe bars or you can visit in 20 minutes walk cultural things like the 4 churches of Opatija, museum of tourism, Opatija parks & monuments, Lady with the sea gull statue and lot of nice architecture villas and buildings that were made from around 1850 to this days....
