'Ahhh the good life'. This seems to be the favourite phrase our guests use on the day they arrive to this little oasis of peace and tranquillity. Beautiful, authentic wooden house nestled on the bank of river Kupa offers a truly exceptional holiday home any time of year. Stunning views, remote location (but still only 45min from Zagreb airport) ideal for those who want to enjoy the nature, pause and de stress from busy lives.

Our house is in a small village of Augustanovec. It's an authentic Croatian village with friendly locals and picturesque landscapes. If you are a lover of nature there's plenty to do and see around here. Kayak down the river, sightseeing local wildlife (beavers in particular), fishing, mushroom picking, walking, hiking...Or just sit back in the front garden and enjoy the view, peace and tranquillity! Village does have a small shop stocked up with basics. Or for fresh local organic produce you can purchase eggs, honey, fruit, vegetables directly from the locals - they will have boards in front of their house advertising what they are selling. A great way to taste the very best of local foods. Bigger supermarket in 3km away in Pokupsko. Once you are here it will feel like you are million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a big city - however we are located only 45min drive from the Zagreb airport (43km). The drive is pretty easy and actually quite pleasant, rarely will you encounter heavy traffic once outside Zagreb. The river Our house is conveniently located right on river Kupa. There’s a couple of local beaches with easy access both left and right of the house as you walk out. The beach on the right is also pet friendly. Swimming in Kupa is a lovely experience, in the summer months river is warm, slow and clear. It is also great for fishing. You can throw your fishing rod anywhere you fancy, just make sure it’s away from other swimmers. There’s a couple of other beaches further down the river, a short drive from the house: Pokupsko beach – a big local beach with a sports ground, beach volleyball pitch and a beach bar. Degoj natural beach – this is a little hidden gem where you can enjoy a swim and a natural hydro massage! (there are small rapids there and a makeshift ‘massage area’)
