Have you ever seen a postcard from Dubrovnik? The photo of Dubrovnik was probably taken from our balcony! Okay, it wasn't, but it certainly appears as if it was taken from there. Our apartment is situated on Lazarina 3 street, right above the famous Hotel Excelsior. Ploce in particular are situated on the slopes of hill Srdj (pronounced as sergeant - sarge). Ploce is a vibrant area with excellent connections and on rifle range of the Old city walls. Just above you you can find a grocery store and 'Bikers' caffe. All major attractions are situated in the Old city, which is roughly 800 meters (half-mile) away from the apartment. Based on few guests' remarks in 'reviews' section, we want to address the fact that some guests may find access to the property building somewhat difficult, due to unpaved road and 30 unavoidable stairs that guests need to pass in order to reach the apartment. Therefore, this area is not recommended to gentle walkers and to guests carrying a lot/heavy luggage Shortcut to the closest beach (Banje) takes you down over 130 stairs (same on the way back), but for all those that do not want to go up the stairs, we recommend going around, via Petra Kresimira street.
