Dear visitor, You are coming home to our place. The house has a soul, with its old walls, wooden ceilings, the long form of the house which served the traditional living in this region well in the past. 90% of the furniture is either uniquely produced by local artisans, or selected individually from antique or vintage markets. You might specially enjoy some of the lamps in the evening, with the break through patterns spread on the walls. Most lamps are also made by local artisans. Although it is a challenge not to invest more in decoration, but its simplicity reflects the lifestyle of its original dwellers more. At our current renovation in 2020 we upgraded eg. the shower, heating system, more inside and outside furniture to increase the level of comfort, new mattresses for the beds. We took some measures for environmental protection, like water saving, no plastics, adapted more to selective waste. Our local host cares for organic local food and cooking offered for our guests as well. It is a place of calm, peace and regeneration. We originally were born and grew up in Budapest, but have also lived in Africa, in Europe and travelled to a few places. I am most proud of our guests, when they allow themselves to spend some "inside out" time at our house. Quite a few of our guests come back, because they find something in the house and the garden, the environment that fills them up and calms them down. They find connection. This is why I am still hosting after so many years. I love to generate this feeling in others.

Ganna is an end village in the middle of nature. It has about 400 inhabitants. In the village there eis a unique Round Church which belonged to the Aristocrat Esterházy family. They had their burying place there, so with a guide today you can see several coffins and remembrance articles. In the neighbouring village there is the Szarvaskői Castle ruins. It stands on a hill, which offers in clear weather a nice view, even until the wine growing area of the Somló. Hiking and biking routes are available. One of Hungary's largest adventure Park is 20 minutes away - the Sobri Jóska Park. You may visit in Pápa - 15 minutes away - the Esterházy Castle, and the Thermal bath, wellness centre called Várkert Fürdő. The nearest restaurant is in the neighbouring village - Döbrönte - at Hasik Panzió, a small but but very nice Hotel. A traditional restaurant is locatable in Noszlop village and you can find 2- 3 other restaurants in Pápa town. Shopping opportunity for basic foodstuffs is in a little shop next village in Döbrönte, open morning hours. There is a summer ice-cream delivery service and a bread van passing by 2-3 days per week. Bigger shopping trips you can arrange in Pápa.
