Camaya Bali is a one-of-a-kind bamboo retreat nestled in the serene rice terraces of East Bali, offering a tranquil escape from the crowds. Designed for those seeking peace, solitude, and a deep connection to nature, our boutique-style retreat is run by locals from the nearby village, ensuring an authentic and welcoming experience. Each of our eight houses is uniquely crafted—some entirely from bamboo, while others blend bamboo with natural materials. To avoid misunderstandings, we encourage you to carefully review the images and descriptions of your chosen house before booking. Camaya’s open-air architecture invites natural breezes, creating a cool and comfortable atmosphere, with nighttime temperatures averaging 21-22°C. Camaya does not have air conditioning. While mosquito nets, fans, and a turndown service are provided, the open design means YOU MAY ENCOUNTER WILDLIFES (frogs, bugs, geckos, mice, or even snakes outdoors). If sharing your space with nature makes you uncomfortable, Camaya may not be the ideal choice for your stay.

While there are no shops, restaurants, or ATMs within walking distance, we provide a complimentary scooter for you to explore the nearby town of Selat or uncover hidden gems in surrounding villages. Please note, Camaya is not ideal for those seeking nightlife, urban conveniences, or proximity to Ubud. However, for guests who value seclusion, natural beauty, and a chance to disconnect, it’s an unforgettable retreat.
