Our family came to Papua in 1996 and we have lived in Papua for 26 years. Since our children have moved out to study in Germany, we have opened our house for international guests from all over the world. We love to share about the Papuan culture and love to hear stories from our guests as well in order learn more about other countries and customs. In our homestay we train local ladies in how to run a homestay so that lateron they are able to run a homestay in their village to create income for their families. With the income from the homestay we support different ministries, which help Papuan people to gain self confidence in small scale business development as well as in Women's Football. We enjoy having conversations with our guests and love to create a family atmosphere at our house where everybody feels comfortable and welcome. We can't wait to meet you!

Informazioni sul quartiere

It is a pure adventure to stay in an all Papuan neighborhood with many children, dogs and chicken running around the house and Papuan neighbors to get to know. If you want to know how to run a pig business you can ask our neigbors, who are from the highlands. Our house is surrounded by lots of trees and bushes which keep the heat outside and provide a beautiful and fresh atmosphere. Most guests enjoy to sit on our huge patio/porch for many hours a day.
