Amelia is the General Manager of Maratua Guesthouse. She handles all bookings and guest relations before your arrival. Jun is the owner, chef and host on Maratua. He helped you plan your days, book diving and snorkeling trips, rents out motorbikes and cooks your fabulous meals. Amelia and Jun and have been working together in tourism and restaurants since 2004.

Maratua Guesthouse is the first Indonesian owned and operated guesthouse on Maratua. If you love nature and friendly hosts, you'll love staying with us. Maratua Guesthouse sits on our own private beach with an amazing House Reef with a drop of 200 meters. Giant turtles swim in off our private beach daily and you're guaranteed to see turtles daily. We have 2 brand new premium ocean view villas with stunning ocean views and air conditioning. We have 4 standard ocean view villas with stunning ocean views and air conditioning. And we have 7 standard villas with lake or jungle views with air conditioning. We have our own restaurant on the premises with 180 degree views of the Celebes Sea. All villas come with half board meals, which are ordered off of our menu. We offer both western and Indonesian dishes and have some of the best food on Maratua.

Maratua Island is a nature island with some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world. It's a very remote island, 4 hours away from the nearest airport, but well worth the travel for intrepid travelers looking for that special island getaway. There are now public ferries between Berau and Maratua, so travel is straightforward. There are also non-stop flights between Berau and Jakarta and Surabaya, making Maratua more accessible to international travelers flying into Jakarta.
