Villa Maya is a hidden treasure just off the main road in Teges, a neighborhood about 10 minutes by car from Ubud Center. From the moment you walk through the wooden gateway, you enter a private world with lush gardens and luxurious comfort. Here you have the best of both worlds with a walled villa set among the rice paddies that is only a short walk from a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, small vendors selling delicious Balinese food and a local fruit and vegetable market. Balinese staff come in daily to prepare delicious breakfasts, clean the villa and assist with any questions you might have. Because the villa is open concept and close to the rice fields and jungle, you will hear noises from the insects and geckos who inhabited this land long before the villa was built. Bali is a humid, tropical island with abundance of birds, butterflies and various kinds of geckos. Some encounters may occur, but please note that they are completely harmless and many of them are helpful to the balance of these complex ecosystems. Part of the beauty of the villa is that the main living area is open to nature and the sky, foliage and paddies are an extension of the living space. This area is not air conditioned but there is a strong fan above the couches. The pretty bedrooms lead onto the main courtyard area with glass sliding doors showcasing the view of the pool and gardens. Both bedrooms are fully air conditioned, have full bathrooms with double sinks, a shower and tubs open to the sky. Queen size beds (160 cm x 200 cm) are very comfortable, and there are night stands with lamps, dressers, closets and a small safe in each room.

From Jalan Raya Goa Gajah, please find Jalan Sawah Indah. Follow the street about 400 meters. Just before Sawah Indah Restaurant you will find a temple and a road on the right hand side. Turn right and you will find our villa at the end of the road. There are some restaurant and minimart nearby within walking distance such as Sawah Indah Restaurant, Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant, Up To Date, Warung Hana, and others. Please note that the restaurants are commonly closed at 9 - 10 pm.
