Dugort is nestled by the towering Slievemore mountain, home to many sheep that can be seen grazing along the lowlands and byways. St Thomas's Church of Ireland is always open and welcoming and can be accessed by a lovely tree-lined lane. You can walk to the pier and do a spot of fishing. Dugort is steeped in History dating back to the times of the Rev. Edward Nangle who founded the Colony. Two minutes walk from our house is the Cyril Gray Memorial Hall synonymous with the Heinrich Boll weekends, held usually on May bank holiday weekend.
