Coopershill is an 18th century private rental property. For your exclusive use, take over a gorgeous country house with friends and family! A stunning mile long avenue crossing the River Unshin and winding through ancient woods and deer pastures brings you to this fabulous Georgian mansion, home to the O’Hara family for 250 years. This is essentially an amazing self catering property but we can recommend some excellent private chefs to cater for you. It’s the perfect base for the adventure of the Sligo landscape. Kayak to the Lake Isle of Inishfree, take a Hawk Walk on the estate, horse ride on the beach or climb Benbulben and savour a picnic at the top. Coopershill Country House in Sligo, is a member of Ireland's Blue Book and is available all year for private rental and special events such as filming.
This is a fabulous and very large house which has been in our family since it was built in 1774. Since we are now only a family of 4 it is too large for us to use for daily living. We live in it from time to time for special occasions and especially Christmas. We love to rent it out because a house needs to be loved and used and what better use than your family occasion!
County Sligo is a land of empty beaches, lakes and mountains immortalised in the poetry of WB Yeats. World class golfing, amazing hiking to neolithic passage tombs and horse riding on beaches. The house is set in a private 500 acre estate with a river running through it and the wild life is prolific.
