Shannonbridge is a lovely riverside village on the banks of the river Shannon. There are two marinas where each night many visitors on cruisers dock to taste the famous Shannonbridge nightlife. Killeens Pub and Lukers Pub are traditional Irish Pubs and are well worth a visit. The Old Fort restaurant is also within walking distance. The wonderful 1500 year old monastery of Clonmacnoise is nearby. Lough Boora Parklands and Birr Castle are just a short drive away
