A cosy cottage full of character and history. A stand alone property offering great privacy to all. Private garden , fire pit and free parking. The house is in a rural setting so a car is a must. The large garden allows visitors be in nature rather than just near it. Rabbits, foxes and an occasional badger can be seen in the garden regularly.
The house itself provides a lesson in Irish history and the states development and we are always willing to discuss this with visitors.
Pets are welcome and there is a fine garden for them to play in.
After three years in this business I feel I have learned a lot about what people need.
If you wish for privacy then you can check in/out, come and go as you please but all the while knowing assistance is only next door or a text away.
Should you have questions re the house, area, activities, Ireland, the Irish, history, shopping or anything else that enters your mind then I will make every effort to answer those queries.
Deep in rural Ireland this is a quiet place free from any hassle of traffic or crime. Ideal for exploring the rich heritage of the locality or as a base to travel further. The surrounding area is saturated in the history of millennia eg the lake at Lough Gur is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Europe or , far more recently, Bruff has been discovered to be the home of ancestors of John F Kennedy.
Above all Katie’s offers a quiet base to return to after a days exploring.
Information and/or tours of the locality can be organised (subject to availability) to enhance your experience of visiting Katie’s and the surrounding area.
