This hidden-away ecologically built hom is conveniently close to town, 5klms or 10min drive, but offers a remote, seclusion and privacy on 3 wooded acres 200 meters down a private lane of 5 houses, nestled in its own wooded 3 acres, not overlooked, away from sounds of modernity. Located on The Wild Atlantic Way, Kenmare Eco Lodge is a rather unique eco home built of industrial hemp, lime and wood. It has high spec UV windows + geothermal heating system. Expect - calm/restful ambience natural furnishings and oak floors. Expect - country lane, river flowing sounds + hill views all rooms. The beauty of the heritage village which offers all that the discerning visitor could want - no chains here, everything is of quality. The best location from which to explore the surrounding mountains - be that Killarney National Park (5klms from town), strolling the local empty back lanes or Kerry Way & Beara Way with over 200+kilometers walking trails. The great thing about here - there are so few people!!! A whole peninsula with just 6k people! No industrial infrastructrure. Therefore pristine landscapes. The richest part of Ireland for archaeological sites dating back to megalithic times. Several walks to these.
