Mary Jane's cottage has been fully refurbished in the past 12 months. Safe, enclosed garden perfect for pets. Oil fired central heating. Wood burning stove. Open plan living, kitchen & dining area. Shower room with electric shower. Two double bedrooms. Detached cottage surrounded by fields and quiet countryside. TV. No wi-fi, but very good 4G coverage. Free parking at cottage – large enough for 3 cars. Patio table and chairs. Fire pit, barbeque space. Near Gweebarra river & Loch McHugh.
Host is nearby, available 24hrs a day for any problems or help.
LeitirMhican Baird is a scenic Gaeltacht village in the Rosses region of County Donegal. The village lies between Glenties and Dungloe.
The cottage has beautiful views across Gweebarra River and is located in a quiet area away from the main road. You will need a car. 3km from Lettermacaward Village which has a petrol station a village shop and 2 pubs. There is a cycle track alongside the main road through Lettermacaward. Elliot’s bar (3.5km) – traditional music on Friday.
Dooey Beach (8km) –beautiful, unspoiled beach ideal for walking and surfing.
Easy access to Dungloe, Narin, Portnoo, Glenties and Ardara.
You will need transport to explore Donegal, limited public transport. Daily weekday bus to Dungloe.
