Set within idyllic fishing village Mullaghmore, it boasts a swimming pool and light, modern rooms with 21-inch flat-screen TVs. Furnished in soft colours with modern, wood flooring, all rooms at The Pier Head Hotel feature a private bathroom with free toiletries. There is a TV, while some rooms boast views of Donegal Bay or the harbour and mountains. Full Irish breakfasts are served at Pier Head. Hikes can be arranged up nearby Benbulben mountain, and WB Yeats’ grave is 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Free parking is available, and Glencar Waterfall is a 20-minute drive away.
