Our bungalow is situated in a rural setting in between Westport and Castlebar. It is a 45 minute drive from Knock airport. There is easy access to many of the west coast of Ireland attractions whether you are looking for a quiet get away or an activity packed adventure. Galway city is only an hour away and the breathtaking scenic drive around Connemara is on the door step. The bungalow itself is suitably furnished for a family of 4/5 with a local shop Scott's 4km away. It’s a home from home. Guests will have access to the whole house - 3 bedrooms (2 x double bed & 1 small double which is off set with another double room - i.e. you have to walk through the double room to access the third bedroom), kitchen, living room, bathroom, WiFi and utility room. Patio and large garden to enjoy while on your stay. No access to old cottage and out buildings due health and safety.

We are a family of 4 who where lucky enough to purchase this little hide away. We fell in love with the space and location. And since 2018 we have being working hard on the grounds ourselves to create a safe family home. The work done to date has be rewarding and purposeful. We have many projects planned for the future.

Although the house is set at the end of a country lane in a rural position, it is a perfect base for all your holiday needs whether you are a nature lover or adventurer enthusiast. 4km to Aghagower where you will find a shop, post office and pub as well as lots of history. Only 8km to Westport town - your main shops and nightlife spot. There is a vibrant feel in the evenings with plenty of outstanding places to eat and experience traditional Irish music. Travel a further 8km to the Holy mountain Crough Patrick if you fancy a breathtaking climb. Bertra beach is outstanding too with its sand dunes and sea. The Wild Atlantic way takes you on a scenic drive through this beautiful part of Ireland taking you to Clare Island (boat trip) and through Conomara to name just 2 places. Galway city is only a hours drive away if you want to plan further experiences.
