Unmatched for its tranquillity, scenery and proximity to Bantry town (2 miles), this house is bright and airy with beautiful countryside views. Fully accessible in case of limited mobility. Situated on a quiet country lane, and ideally located for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, West Cork and Bantry Bay. Hosts Liz and Toby live next door, and having lived here for 20 years are very knowledgeable about West Cork and Kerry and are happy to help make your stay a memorable one.
We are a family of four, a dog and sometimes some hens. We have lived in West Cork for over 20 years, after travelling extensively and living in places as far afield as Russia and Papua New Guinea before settling down to raise our family in this beautiful part of the world. We love to socialise and we also enjoy hillwalking. On any sunny weekend evening, we can be found on our patio with the brazier lit and a glass of wine in hand. You are always welcome to join us! Otherwise, our door is always open and we are happy to help you get the most from your holiday in whatever way we can. We will happily leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday, but will always be on hand to help out if needed.
Although only two miles from Bantry, your accommodation is located at the end of a quiet country lane in a very peaceful area, facing south. Access is shared only with a working farm at the end of the road. You may encounter cows heading to and from the farm for milking at the beginning and end of the day, but other than that you will see very little traffic!
Bantry is 30 minutes walking distance (all downhill) from the accommodation, or a 5 minute drive. Guests will need their own transport as the only public transport runs from Bantry town to Cork city or Bantry town to Glengarriff/Castletownbere.
