Your host Noreen Murphy is a native of Bantry having grown up working in the towns many restaurants, hotels and B&B’s during her school holidays.
Noreen’s first hand experience and knowledge of what visitors to the area are looking for. She is delighted to share her beautiful home just outside Bantry with holidaymakers from throughout the world and not alone share her home but her vast knowledge of the area and all it has to offer.
A warm welcome is assured at West Cork Way where empty nest syndrome after her three sons set out in the world prompted Noreen to open up her beautiful home and grounds to visitors be it one person or a family group.
Noreen comes from a large family of 8 so sharing her home with a number of other people is nothing new to her. Her love of music, dancing and story telling was handed down from her grandmother and parents who whom hosted many the night of song and stories at their home.
Noreen a winner of Cork Person of the Month in January 2016 for her work and Cork Business Woman of the Year 2019 for her work in founding Lisheens House a local mental health charity which provides free counselling to people in crisis.
Bantry is at the heart of West Cork, where The Beara Peninsula, The Mizen Peninsula and The Sheep’s Head Peninsula meet amidst breath taking scenery. "West Cork Way"is the perfect haven from which to explore this magnificent part of Ireland. Gougane Barra, Glengarriff, Kenmare, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry are a short drive away. It is the ideal stop for those doing the St. Finbarr's Way walk.

There is an abundance of sporting activities to while away your days including Golf courses, water sports, horse riding, scenic walks in nearby woodlands.
Large crowds gather every Friday for the famous Bantry market, that sells a vast array of produce and products whilst there you can sample the atmosphere of one of the many traditional Irish pubs which hold regular free music sessions throughout the Year.
Bantry hosts the world famous Literary and Chamber Music festivals each year which draws world renowned artists and performers from around the globe.
