This place is made mostly from Bamboo and was inspired by Bali architecture. The earthen house has walls made out of woven bamboo strips and covered with mud, husk, and cow dung, given another layer of white mud which acts as a natural paint and also strengthens the structure. The entire house is fully sealed and you do not have to worry about lizards, insects, or even mosquitoes. The Shanghar (stilt house) is a local traditional structure given a modern touch with floor-to-ceiling glass and all amenities. Also, we're your neighbors! So, we're always available around the property to help you with anything. Baahor Ghar is 10 minutes away from the Agratoli Range (Eastern), 15 minutes from Kohora (Central), and 30 minutes from the Bagori (Western) range. We have our Jeep and can take you to any Range of your preference. We also offer a chef on call to cook you a full-course meal or anything from our menu if you're not in the mood to cook. The house is less than 100 mts from the main highway.

I traveled the whole of India on my motorcycle with no money at the age of 19. Since then, I began to see how wide this world is, that I'm living. I wanted to see the outside corporate life out of curiosity. As I wasn't feeling "at home" with myself. Since then, I quit my job and I started to live in Hampi. To have had an opportunity to meet as many people as I can, understand the similarities in our practices, and also learn and teach ones we don't, I'm extremely thankful to Airbnb, Booking and Couchsurfing. After a year, in Hampi, I cycled across 4 countries from Hyderabad to Vietnam. It changed the way I looked at life and time. Now, I try to invest most of my time eating right and working out to take care of my body. And, invest as much money as I can from the best possible opportunity I find in the corporate. I'm working toward a long-term goal of living amid a forest with a self-sustainable off-grid property and living off of nature as much as possible. :)

This place is in a safe neighborhood in a village called Sapjuri. Baahor Ghar is 10 minutes away from the Agratoli Range (Eastern), 15 minutes from Kohora (Central), and 30 minutes from the Bagori (Western) range. There's a weekly market in this village on Mondays and all the farmers around Karbi Ang Long and Kaziranga set up stalls to sell their produce. You find bamboo products, locally woven clothes, shawls, bags, and other groceries.
