Step 3: After crossing Binsar gate on the road to Bageshwar, cross Takula. Step 4: 1 km before Kaiflegar, after the police check post, turn left towards Karala Palari. Step 5: After 7 KMs, passing the last 1 km dirt road, you will arrive Chardham. Take the right hand road on the fork. Step 6: After 1 km, you arrive at a sharp bend. I came to Bageshwar district one and half years before, unknown to all, wandering to find a village family to live with in Himalayas. Visiting mountains and villages, I came to Bhitari village in Janoti Palari, and was captivated by the gorgeous Himalaya. Living with the families of Rajendra Prasad in Bhitari, I saw the village life, their struggle, their happiness and a unique family bonding that is lost in the City forever. I found that the lack of education and awareness plague these villagers with fear and isolation. In an effort to open the world to these villagers we joined hands to start this homestay.

Bhitari village in Janoti Palari, Bageshwar is a tranquil village at an elevation of 1600 ft. One can arrive to this location from Kathgodam Rly station by taxi and car rentals are available on request. Let us know your preferences, we can arrange a reliable SUV with reasonable rates. Medical professionals are available on call basis. In case of emergencies, the Government Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Almora, is a two-hours drive. To explore beyond the village, nearby tourist attractions like 'Maa Maichula Temple' and 'Kasar Devi Temple' or Gwaldam, 1000-year-old Jageshwar temples, and the Binsar sanctuary, all offer enriching experiences that can be accessed either through a scenic trek or through drives of not more than 2-3 hours. Villagers narrated stories of tiger sightings and divine appearances, guiding in the jungle. Indulge in bird watching, trek through villages, bask near the river streams, do jungle camping or drive to Kasar Devi, Bageshwar, Seraghat, Gwaldham, Baijnath, etc.
