This is a property built on 1960. Initially this was the only concrete house around the neighborhood. It was built by Dr. Niren Kakoty while he was posted here as a physician at the local hospital. Gradually the area developed and houses started setting up in the neighbourhood.
Toter Gamlin is from the Galo Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. She always has an affinity towards hosting guests. It was her idea to start this homestay where she could cater guests from around the world who comes here to Kaziranga to feel nature and explore the world heriage National Wildlife Park. Regarding Himadri, He is a culture/Tribal discovery guie of the Northeast region. He worked as a guide in this region since last 15 yrs.
