 Mrudaranya Literally transcribes to Mruda - Earth. Arana - Forest Myself, Rahul - Architect from Sir JJ School of Art and my wife Seema - Chemical Engineer from UDCT!!! moved to Panchgani in 2021, along with Our children - Arjun (now 15 years old) and Ira (11.5 years old) and eventually to “Mrudaranya” in 2023!! Both our Children never went to any formal school! We always homeschool them, living in the real world, as real individuals, having targets, having opinions and loads of options. We build this Earth tech POD all by ourselves along with help from many Locals from all the nearby Villages, few are still with us since the beginning……… We are all Trekkers - wanderers and Nature is our best Friend. We always wanted to live close to NATURE, away from resource robbing metros. Mrudaranya is a conscious attempt at inviting Nature Ambassadors wherein we can all learn from each other and nurture a synergic community, more interactions would initiate more learning on all frontiers We have built five more Earth structures throughout the monsoon of 2024!! All the four units are of Appropriate sizes, with attached toilets, just enough to accommodate a family of 3 each and one family room for 6-7 people. There are two 100sft elevated plinths for tents, with access to common toilet. All these structures are naturally thermally conditioned and you will experience at least 6 to 7 deg of temperature difference inside these units, all by virtue of Natural building material and practices. We are also equipped with a kitchen and Dining areas, the second balcony dining on first floor has a 360 deg view of the majestic Sahyadris and all the five table lands in this region!!!
