Hi, I live here at Arabaer with my husband Saevar and our six young children. Arabaer is a busy working farm where we train, breed and sell Icelandic horses. We also farm vegetables including turnips and carrots, this keeps us all busy! I am originally from Scotland and have travelled, lived and worked abroad in several places including New Zealand and Holland before settling in Iceland around 13 years ago. My husband Saevar is Icelandic and grew up around here, we run the business together and enjoy our busy lifestyle with the farm, children, and various pets ;-) We speak English and Icelandic here on the farm. We are more than happy to assist guests in any way. We want you to have the best possible stay and hopefully can help in doing that.

A cosy 78sqm, 2 bedroomed cabin situated in idyllic Icelandic countryside. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a private terrace looking out onto breathtaking views Perfectly situated for visiting many famous sites including the new Geldingadalir volcano, the Golden circle, the hot springs in Reykjadalur, the secret lagoon in Fludir and the famous Seljalandsfoss. All with in an hrs drive from the house and also including the capital Reykjavik which is just 77 km from us.

The House is very private. without a lot of light pollution surrounding us making us ideal for northern lights season for great viewing (bearing in mind that the lights are actually out!) We are close to the small village stokkseyri and only 26 km from selfoss where many restaurants and supermarkets and everything else can be found. also only an hrs drive from the capital Reykjavik. The road to the house is partly paved and partly gravel road. we always make sure you have the correct location before your day of check in . It is pretty much necessary to have a car when staying with us. plenty of parking space in front of the house.
