Our cottages are sized 67m2. All houses have four beds in three rooms. There is a adjoining living room and kitchen as well as a bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi, smart TV, large dining table for six guests, stove with an oven, refrigerator with a freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, and all general kitchen utensils.

About 200 people live in this small, artistic, and friendly village. Young students are now the biggest drive in the culture of Flateyri with a new folk high school in the town. Vagninn is one of the most famous bars in Iceland and there the people come together after buzzy day. The old bookstore in Flateyri is a must visit shop. Flateyri also has a small grocery shop with milk, bread and basic things, a good swimming pool and a hot tubs. 20 minute drive away is Ísafjörður, which is a much larger town with all the main services. On weekdays there is a bus that makes three trips a day between the two places, but we recommend that guests have a rental car at their disposal, to explore Westfjords during their visit, because they are unique.
