My name is Guðjón, a very classic Icelandic name, most people call me Gaui. Guesthouse Árný was open and running by my parents for almost two decades until they retired two years ago. Now I am opening the guesthouse up again and I am excited to welcome you in the spring of 2017.

Guesthouse Árný is located within short distance to everything you would like to see or experience in Vestmannaeyjar. My aim is to provide you good accommodation and service. As a part of my quest, every room is designed with a special theme connected to Vestmannaeyjar´s or Iceland´s unique nature. If you get a little wow-factor, then I have reached my goal.

Neighbourhood information

Vestmannaeyjar has a tremendous history and spectacular environment and birdlife. Most people come to walk around and enjoy the closeness to nature, seeing the sea and many islands all around Heimaey island, listening to the seabirds in the cliffs and soak in the stories about previous volcanic eruptions. Hiking is easy, great restaurants available, friendly locals and three great museums. Your travel to Vestmannaeyjar is something you will remember for the rest of your life.
