Hlíð Ferðaþjónusta is a complex of accommodation on the northern shore of lake Mývatn, right beneath the airport. We are situated about one kilometer away from the lakeside, in the middle of a 300 years old lava field and with a fantastic view over the lake. We offer: 🚍campground. The electricity is accessible and warm showers are free of charge for guests. 🛏 sleeping bag accommodation or Family Rooms with bedlinen included in our Hostel, 🥞 Bed&Breakfast option, 🏠 fully equipped summerhouses with a wonderful view over the lava field. You can rent bikes for either one day or ½ a day. Maps with hiking and bike routes are available from our service center. A wonderfully scenic 37 km long country road runs around the lake, ideal for biking. You can book a riding tour on an Icelandic horse with us and we will take you through the stunning surroundings of lake Mývatn, ranging from one and up to several hours.

BED(s) IN DORMITORY It‘s a sleeping bag accommodation in four beds dormitory room. In each of our 14 rooms we have two bunk beds. While in a common area you will find showers, toilets, equipped kitchen and dining room with a view over the lava field. All of the facilities are shared with other guests of our hostel. Please, notice that the bedlinen is not included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAMILY ROOM In the room you will find two bunk beds – 3 of them are singles and one, on the bottom, is double but only 120 cm wide. While in a common area we have showers, toilets, equipped kitchen and dining room with a view over the lava field. All of the facilities are shared with other guests of our hostel. You have the bedlinen set included: pillow with case, duvet with case, sheet and one towel.
