Found in the Bárdardalur valley, Kidagil Guesthouse is a 25-minute drive from Godafoss Waterfall. It offers free WiFi and parking, a guest TV lounge and summer restaurant.
The simple rooms at Kidagil have wooden floors. Room in the main building have access to shared bathrooms, while rooms in the annex building benefit from private bathrooms.
A typical Icelandic breakfast buffet is available each morning. The summer restaurant offers à la carte lunches and dinners.
Guesthouse Kidagil is a 60-minute drive from Húsavík, Iceland’s premier whale watching location. Lake Mývatn is a similar distance away.

All of the staff are welcoming and excited to meet the guests.

Our property is the center in Bárðardalur valley. All year round we have events, festivities and host parties.
Built in the 1960s as a boarding school for local kids, it has only recently retired as the kindergarten.
Now Kiðagil serves as a guesthouse in the summer, and a sort of community-center all year round.

The valley is a lovely place to take a long Sunday-drive any day of the week.
The hills/mountains are excellent for a light hike, and the two waterfalls at each end of the valley are both sights to be seen.
