We rent in Santa Brigida, for short periods, a portion of the house in which we live: two rooms with bathroom, independent entrance, private terrace in common courtyard and possibility of parking. The kitchen is the family's and is not included in the rental. We live in the house. The rented rooms are autonomous and independent but do not have a kitchen. For breakfast we are available to prepare it, also according to any dietary needs. It can be served in the room or, on request, eaten in the kitchen with us. For breakfast we ask 4 euro per person to be paid in cash. If, exceptionally, you need to heat something or other, perhaps for the children, just tell us and we will find a solution for the use of our kitchen. The rooms, like the whole house, are painted in natural colours and furnished with recycled and reused furniture that we have repurposed. (Mattresses, sheets and towels are new). The village is 25 kilometres from Florence, so it is advisable to have your own transport to get around, although there is a bus service, not very convenient, that covers the main timetables. Within 15 minutes by car, however, you can take the train or bus that will take you to the centre of Florence in a few minutes and you can find all the other services and supermarkets that are better equipped (Le Sieci, Molino del Piano, Fiesole, Caldine..). In the village there is a pharmacy, a grocery store, a tobacconist's, the post office, a casa del popolo and two clubs, one of which is right next to the house.

The village is named after Brigid of Ireland, who came here as a hermit in the 9th century. You can still see the cave where she lived for a long time, on which the small village church stands today. An area rich in history, nature trails and places to visit. For lovers of simplicity, tranquillity and ecology. Several beautiful paths branch off from the village, such as the ancient path to the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso, the Burraie paths and those linked to the history of the partisan resistance. We are right on the Via degli Dei, which connects Bologna with Florence. Historically travelled by pilgrims, wayfarers and brigands.
