The "Romagnola" Cabin is one of two Bassara Cabins: a typical marsh hideaway, thatched with marsh reeds, with great outdoor green space, queen size bed, bathroom with shower and kitchen with fireplace. Open all year, it is located close to the Valleys of Argenta (FE), 6th Station of the Po Delta Park, at about 40Km from Ferrara, Ravenna and Bologna. Ideal for a romantic or family vacation surrounded by nature, enjoying all the comforts of a real apartment. You can access a wide, well-lit, external park with tables and barbecue facilities. We will welcome you upon your arrival and provide you with all the necessary information for your stay. We guarantee absolute privacy, but we are at your disposal for any possible requests. To welcome you in the best way possible, we offer a bottle of wine to all of our guests. Furthermore, breakfast includes tea, coffee from an espresso machine, milk, butter, rusks, jam, local honey, and seasonal fruit from our farm. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, gas stove and includes pans, dishes, drinking glasses, cups and cutlery. If need be, two additional single beds can be added to the double bedroom.

My name is Marco and together with my wife Adele, I run the Bassara Cabins: two downright marsh hideaways covered with reeds. I also run an agribusiness with my brothers, where we produce crops, including ancient varieties of grain, soy, fruits and vegetables for industrial processing and marsh reeds, an ancient local production which was used for building cabins or valley hideaways, where we are happy to welcome you. The farm located on the left side of the Reno river is at the service of our shop in Argenta, that sells bottled and cask wine all year long, seasonal fruits and vegetables: starting with strawberries, then cherries, apricots, peaches, prunes and many more garden produce. We can’t wait to welcome you to our cabins, where we are sure you will experience a unique holiday.

Our cabins are ideal for your visit, in the heart of nature, and they’re also within walking distance of Argenta (FE). Located next to the Valli di Argenta, sixth station at the Po Delta Park in Emilia Romagna, they are the ideal starting point to enjoy the beauty of our environment. The Museo delle Valli di Argenta, the visitor center in the park, is only 6 kms away from the cabins and you can also get there by following the bicycle path that runs along the wetlands of Bassarone and Campotto. The Valli di Argenta are freshwater wetlands, internationally recognized by the Ramsar Convention. They consist of 3 emergency containers and a hygrophilous, woodland area of 1600 hectares; some areas are accessible only through a booked guided tour or by taking part in the excursions organized by the museum. Other areas on the other hand, are always freely accessible. There are 2 other museums to visit, along with the before-mentioned historical – naturalistic Museo delle Valli di Argenta: Museo della Bonifica, a functioning pumping station that guarantees a safe hydraulics system for the lower plains of Bologna and the Museo Civico, with an archaeological section and picture gallery.
