I am the owner of the Agriturismo Il Caggio with my family since the year 2000! The old farmhouse dating back to the 17th century has been transformed into 7 apartments, equipped with all modern comforts, respecting the traditional style. We produce extra virgin olive oil. I was born and raised in the area and will be happy to give you good advice as a "local". I have a degree in International Relations and my passions are theatre, cinema, baking, travelling and reading :)

We are located in a privileged position, hidden by the woods but very close to the city and to the main points of cultural interest. The Val di Merse, our region, is a naturalistic wonder rich in secret and mystical beauties, such as the Castle of Celsa, Villa Cetinale, Torri Cloister and the Abbey of San Galgano. The city of Siena, symbol of the Renaissance and famous for its Medieval Palio festival, is at about 15 minutes. Monteriggioni and Val d’Elsa – with the renowned San Gimignano – are only a few minutes away by car. In about an hour you can reach the Val d’Orcia, Chianti, Florence and the beaches of Maremma coast … there are almost endless possibilities!
