Located in the center of Carbonia, with simple and genuine decor that sounds like home, travel and freedom, Anima Vintage welcomes you with the typical joy and amazement of a new encounter. In the house wide, bright spaces, the sounds of nature join the buzz of the quiet town, cheerfully boisterous on holidays and never intrusive. The scent of wild myrtle fills the air on certain summer nights. You'll find whatever you need on walking distance: civic market, herbalist store, cafes, grocery and drug stores, post and bank offices and counters, library, pharmacies and open-air museums. On Saturday mornings there's a lively weekly market. Enjoy your holiday on one of the most exotic and magical islands on the European continent, with the typical welcome of these places, as genuine, forthright and gentle as the waves of the sea are.
I was born in Carbonia amid the sea and Sulcis countryside. As a teenager I start traveling in search of new mental and cultural horizons, first London and then Bologna, where I settle attracted by cultural and social ferment that characterizes the city in those years. I breathe underground art and culture and learn about expressive dance and meditation which I deepen in my travelling between South India, the woods on Lake Orta, few months in San Francisco, and again Italy in Bologna. I refine my research with dance movement therapy and somatic movements also collaborating with social contexts in the city area. Here in Carbonia I wanna live and share the wonder of this paradise corner which I love, so wild and so fragrant, mysterious and magical, where I walk and swim surrounded by thousand shades of salted blue and the sky, among ancient stones that silently tell stories to those who want to listen. Where I still discover unknown places and live again the wonder of enchantment through the gaze of people that find and choose to be welcomed in my home.
Carbonia is the Queen of Sulcis, because its central location in southwestern Sardinia. 10 minutes drive you find Portopaglietto beach always sheltered from the mistral wind. About 20 minutes away is Sant'Antioco Island, reachable by car across an isthmus of land, and the lovely Calasetta with breathtaking beaches and cliffs, or the coast of Gonnesa with its mining history and wide wild beaches. In 30 minutes you reach Porto Pino: fine white sand dunes, small bays, cool pine forests scented with juniper and brackish resin. Everywhere ponds with pink flamingos, scent of cistus helichrysum and lentisk, rock arches that draw pools of crystal clear water, islands within the island. And for you who love mystery you'll find within walking distance the famous Domus de Janas, the Nuraghe, the Goddess Tanit and other sites rich in history and magical views. Vibrations that make you dream. The food is of genuine delicious quality. last but not least, nearby you'll find lots of kite surf school.
