Friends Of Florence is a house in typical Florentine style, renovated with great care, decorated in warm hues, quiet, welcoming and fresh in summer. Friends of Florence is not a hotel. Our aim is to make our guests feel at home, as they would if staying with friends! Each of our rooms has unique features, with Tuscan cotto and wooden floors, beamed ceilings, marble and serena stone furnishings, and original fixtures, all skilfully restored by Florentine craftsmen. Also the curtains are hand-made by local experts. The furnishings are simple, functional and the beds are very comfortable. A mixture of Florentine tradition and modern design. All rooms are decorated with works by florentine artists. The B&B has free wi-fi connection for guests.
Friends of Florence is in a historical building dating back to the 1400s located in the heart of Florence, opposite Boboli Gardens. The hotel is on the first floor and has an elevator. It has been completely renovated, while maintaining the historic features to keep the authentic charm of real Florentine homes. The Florentine owners, Simone and Claudio, will welcome you and make you feel at home. They are always available throughout your stay and will be happy to provide advice on sightseeing and exploring Florence.
Friends of Florence is in the old city centre of Florence, very near Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and other famous sights. It is located opposite Boboli Gardens in the heart of Florence known as “Oltrarno”, the most authentic and fascinating area of Florence. Staying in this old area packed with traditions allows visitors to get to know the real Florence, its “character”, food and locals, strolling through the maze of streets that lead to Palazzo Pitti, the Uffizi Museum, from Boboli Gardens to Ponte Vecchio, from the Santo Spirito Basilica to the Lungarni avenues along the Arno River.
